How PipeAid Got Started

Every great solution starts with a problem. For PipeAid, it was the countless hours spent manually coding sewer inspection videos frame by frame, defect by defect. Our team knew there had to be a better way. The process was tedious, time-consuming, and prone to human error. So, we asked ourselves: what if artificial intelligence could handle the heavy lifting, and our team could focus on the engineering insights that really matter?

That question led to the creation of PipeAid. We built our AI to understand sewer inspection videos the same way a seasoned engineer would, but faster, more consistently, and with full alignment to NASSCO standards. We layered in GIS integration to create a digital twin of the system, bringing spatial context to every defect coded. The result? A smarter, faster, more accurate way to process inspections and deliver meaningful data to our clients.

From day one, PipeAid was created by engineers, for engineers. Our goal wasn’t just to build a flashy AI tool, it was to solve a real industry pain point. And as we’ve grown, we’ve stayed true to that mission. We work hand-in-hand with clients, continuously refining our technology to meet the evolving needs of cities, utilities, and engineering firms across the country.
