We always appreciate the opportunity to show the difference PipeAId™ has made for municipalities and utilities. The examples below help illustrate how sewer pipe inspections are improved by integrating our AI solution.
Athens Utilities Water Services, a division of The City of Athens Utilities in Alabama, manages a sanitary collection system spanning over 1 million feet of sewer lines, ranging in size from 4 inches to 36 inches. Each year, the City inspects approximately 10% of this system using in-house crews. Traditionally, these inspections generated static PDF reports, limiting the ability to efficiently analyze and utilize the data. Seeking a more streamlined and insightful approach, the City explored AI-driven solutions to enhance inspection efficiency and data usability.
We worked with officials in Newburgh, Indiana to demonstrate how our technology can offer a more efficient, objective and accurate assessment of their sewer system than pre-existing methods.
A demonstration of PipeAId’s capabilities provided detailed data to improve the planning process for AWWU, the utility management division for Anchorage, Alaska. We’ve worked with AWWU to process the town’s sewer inspection videos and locate potential defects with high accuracy.
