AI Strategy

AI Policy & Strategy Overview

Purpose

This policy outlines our commitment to the responsible, transparent, and effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) across our operations. It ensures that AI deployments align with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and our mission to deliver data-driven infrastructure solutions.

1. Guiding Principles
  • Human-Centered Design: AI augments, not replaces, human expertise. All outputs are reviewed by certified professionals to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Transparency & Explainability: We provide clear explanations of how AI systems generate outputs, including the logic, data sources, and decision pathways involved.
  • Bias Mitigation: We actively monitor for and address potential bias in training data and model behavior. All AI outputs are subject to human QA/QC review.
  • Privacy & Notice: Where applicable, we notify users and stakeholders of AI usage, especially when decisions may impact them directly.

2. Governance & Oversight
  • Executive Oversight: AI initiatives are reviewed by a cross-functional team including leadership, legal, and technical advisors.
  • Monitoring & Auditing: AI systems are continuously monitored for performance, fairness, and compliance. Audit trails are maintained for all automated decisions.
  • Policy Updates: This policy is reviewed annually or upon significant regulatory changes.

3. Regulatory Compliance
  • We comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including emerging AI-specific legislation such as Senate Bill 24-205.
  • Our systems are designed to support data access, appeals, and override mechanisms in line with public sector transparency expectations.

4. Implementation Strategy
  • Data-as-a-Service (DaaS): Our AI solution, PipeAId, is delivered as DaaS, minimizing IT burden and maximizing interoperability.
  • Education & Training: We promote internal awareness and training on AI ethics, usage, and oversight
